Rick LaLonde has offered to hold a Tandem Canoe Clinic on April 21, 2012. The class is from 9:30am till 3:00 pm Rick is a ORCKA certified canoe instructor. The clinic is open to club members as well as non-members. The fee for nonmembers is $5.00 and members are free. The clinic is geared for those who normally paddle together and are looking to improve their skills.
Registration is a must and in your RSVP please provide a short description of your past paddling experiences. R.S.V.P. by 4/16/12

CANADIAN STYLE PADDLING INTRO
On Sunday April 22, 2012 Rick LaLonde will conduct a class to introduce paddlers to the Canadian Style Paddling. Time: 9:30am for approximately 4 hours.
Paddlers should have good basic skills and bePrevious flatwater instruction wouldbe an asset. This four hour clinic will go over basic strokes and maneuvers used in paddling a tandem canoe solo. Solo boats are also welcomed.

Meet at the DNR Boat Launch onWhiteLake. State park pass required. 5 to 6 mile paddle on open water and canals. This is a cold water paddle. PFD must be worn while on the water. It is nice to see the videos with your adventures down the river. Kayaking down the river is so peaceful and beautiful. Last time my husband and I Kayaked, we both flipped and my poor husband lost his glasses in the river. This was at the beginning of the trip, so he really couldn’t enjoy the trip much after not being able to see any of the landscapes around. This was our second trip out Kayaking.
