Last weekend was supposed to be a big paddle weekend, with 3 paddles that I wanted to do, one of them I was leading up the Huron River. Well Saturday had winds forecasted to gust to 45 MPH, don’t know how strong the gusts actually were, but I had to cancel my paddle with the [...]

I Can’t Start Kayaking – Cross Country Ski Instead For Exercise
Had a great time getting exercise and cross country skiing with fresh snow and warmer temperatures. I only saw two other skiers out there, but I was not the first on all the hills. Peach Mountain is owned by the University Of Michigan and does not allow any machines, perfect for hiking and cross country skiing.

Winter Cold With Exercise Scam
In the warmer weather I kayak several times a week and bike as often as I can. The dogs get long dog walks with the next lake over as the destination for midpoint watering, there are roller blade tails nearby at Hudson Mills Metro Park for a Saturday or Sunday morning skate.

A Winter Hike For Exercise
A Winter Hike up Peach Mountain in Southeast Michigan. Just like being up North in the woods without the drive. A good way to burn winter fat, reduce weight and have a good time doing it.
